Artist Bio

Addison Seitz is a multimedia artist working primarily in watercolor and graphite. Currently pursuing a degree in Studio Arts at PennWest Edinboro, she explores a wide range of subjects inspired by nature, people, and everyday life. Whether it’s a flower, an expression, or a quiet landscape, her work reflects the beauty and emotion she sees and feels in the world around her. Addison continues to grow as an artist by exploring new materials and letting each piece guide her through the process.

Addison grew up in Conneautville, PA, with her mother, father, and three sisters. She went to school in the Conneautville district and graduated from Conneaut Area Senior High. Throughout middle school and high school, she had an art teacher named Jim Kullen. He inspired her every day to pursue an art career and motivated her to keep creating works. Mr. Kullen played a significant role in Addison’s dream of an art career, and continues to inspire her as she navigates life.

Artist Statement

My work begins with feeling, inspired by nature, people, flowers, and the quiet details of my everyday life. I let my emotions guide my moves, allowing myself to roam freely across the paper until each piece feels complete. Watercolor often leads through the piece with its fluidity and expressive nature, but I also explore an array of materials, including charcoal, graphite, ink, clay, and oil paint. Through soft transitions and delicate details to harsh lines, I try to share the emotions I experience. My goal is not to explain these feelings, but to invite others to feel them in their own way and create their own understanding.
